The Biggest Event of the Winter in Ashton
The 2025 American Dog Derby would not have been the smashing success it was had it not been for the amazing generosity of the new owners of the Imperial Club. They helped breathe new life into the somewhat burnt-out derby planning committee by suggesting that the Derby be held in Ashton instead of Bear Gulch and that the track run down Main Street towards the east as it did traditionally. Terry also helped bring on Watkins Distributing as a major event sponsor who printed the race booklet and track banners, not to mention donate cash. The Imp rounded up a ton of voluntary heavy machine operators to build and tear down the track in record time. The only problem with their amazing contribution to this fantastic event is that they will have to do it again next year! The Imp truly set the bar high with their out-of-the-box thinking and dedication to this historic event.
